Born on September 04,1974 in Durham, North Carolina.He played as a Wide Receiver for two years at Orange High School in Hillsborough, North Carolina. He was a standout in track and field and was state champion as a senior in the 100 and 200 meters and happily married.

Described as a veteran receiver with world-class speed who competed in the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials and has played in 108 league games with 10 starts in eight seasons. His career totals include 47 receptions for 741 yards and six touchdowns along with 21 kick returns for 388 yards, including a 98-yard touchdown, and 13 rushes for 114 yards.

He finished his College football career second on North Carolina State's all-time list with 1,929 yards on kickoff returns. He had career totals of 29 catches for 461 yards as a receiver. He never missed a game, playing in all 44 contests and lined up at split end as a senior in 1997, catching 13 passes for 180 yards.

He also returned 20 kickoffs for 489 yards and appeared in all 11 games in 1996, catching 14 passes for 268 yards and returning 20 kickoffs for 455 yards. He set a school single game record for kickoff return yardage with his 174-yard performance against Florida State, including a 96-yarder for a touchdown. He was a Business Management major.

In the 1998 season he was the only draft choice to play in all 16 games. He played as a reserve Wide Receiver and on special teams, seeing action as a receiver in most games.

He played in 14 games, making one start in 1999 and served as the fourth wideout most of the year, but did not make any catches during the regular season.

In the 2000 season, he finished sixth on Jaguars with career highs of 13 receptions for 137 yards and three touchdowns and also returned four kickoffs for 67 yards.

He played in 11 games for the Jaguars and caught two passes for 17 yards, rushed one time for four yards and tallied one special teams tackle in 2001.

In 2002, he spent preseason and training camp with Atlanta after signing with Falcons as a free agent and was released prior to final cutdown and was signed by the Raiders

He played in all 16 league games at WR with one start in the 2003 season.

While in the 2004 season, he played in 11 league games, starting five and caught nine passes for a career-high 227 yards and two touchdowns. Hen also returned one kickoff for 36 yards.

In the 2005 season, he caught a career-high 14 passes for 183 yards and also rushed twice for 51 yards. His carry was the longest run by a Raider.
