Raiders vs Eagles in Hall of Fame Game.
NEW YORK (Ticker) - The Oakland Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles will open the NFL preseason when they meet in the Hall of Fame Game on August 6 in Canton, Ohio.
Former Raiders coach John Madden will be inducted into the Hall of Fame that weekend, along with former Eagles star defensive end Reggie White, who died in December 2004.
The contest also will be the first televised by NBC under their new contract that gives it rights to Sunday night telecasts. Madden will be in the broadcast booth to call the Raiders-Eagles game with Al Michaels.
The preseason kicks into full swing on the weekend of August 10-14, with Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh visiting Arizona and NFC champion Seattle hosting Dallas.
