Raiders Meet with Rose Bowl MVP

This is from NBC 11.com, CA

OAKLAND, Calif. -- NBC11 Sports has learned the Oakland Raiders interviewed Rose Bowl most valuable player Vince Young Wednesday. He spent the afternoon at Raiders headquarters in Alameda. Sports Director Raj Mathai said 76-year-old Al Davis still has a few tricks up his sleeve as he looks to bring one of the most popular quarterbacks in the country to Oakland.

Young led the University of Texas to the National Championship earlier this year.

The National Football League draft is less than 10 days away. The Raiders have the 7th overall pick, but they would need to trade up in order to get Young.

Raj says, stay tuned. The Raiders are also expected to meet with Southern California University quarterback Matt Leinert today
