Isaiah was born on October 5, 1981 in Nigeria. He stands 6 feet and 4 inches and weighs 240 lbs. He lived throughout much of Africa, China and London while his mother worked for the United Nations, before moving to upstate New York where his mother taught at Colgate.

He's an athletic young linebacker who became a key special teams contributor in his first pro season. He never played high school football, but did excel in soccer, basketball and track.

He attended college at the University of Virginia where he majored in Electrical Engineering and joined the team as a wide receiver in 2002. During his senior year in 2003, he standout in special teams playing in all 13 games. He recorded seven tackles on kickoff coverage and finished third on the team in tackles on kickoff coverage. He was awarded a scholarship prior to 2004 and became one of the teams leading special teams players.

In the 2005 season, he signed to the Raiders practice squad and spent the first seven weeks of the season there before being elevated to the active roster. He also played in the final 10 games of the year, seeing action exclusively on special teams and finished the year with eight tackles, including seven solos. He also made his NFL debut and played on special teams.

He signed with the Cardinals as an un-drafted rookie free agent in 2005. He also spent training camp with the Arizona Cardinals but was released prior to the start of the regular season.
