He was born on July 14, 1978 in Washington, D.C. He was a talented, productive Wide Receiver who has been an integral part of the Raider offensive attack for the past four years.

He attended Coolidge High School in Washington D.C., and was a star in football, basketball, baseball, and track. In football, he was a Blue Chip All-American selection and also won All-State honors.

During his collegiate years, he lettered three seasons at West Virginia. And an All-Big East Conference selection as an all-purpose back. He played as a FS in the first five games, filled in as an emergency QB vs. Rutgers and then finished the second half of the season as a flanker. He recorded 28 tackles with a 68-yard interception return for a touchdown and a pass deflection.

In the 2000 season, he played in 12 league contests at Wide Receiver and on special teams and made his NFL debut, catching his first career pass for six yards.

He played in 15 league games with one start as an extra Wide Receiver in 2001 and made major strides in his game over the season, catching 19 passes for 220 yards, both ranking fifth on the team.

He had an outstanding season in 2002, playing in all 16 league games with 14 starts at Wide Receiver. He ranked first on the team in receiving touchdowns with nine, a career-high and finished the season with 51 receptions for 688 yards, both fourth-best on the team. He ranked first on the team in average per reception.

He played in nine games with one start while missing action due to injury in the 2003 season.

In 2004 he started all 16 games at Wide Receiver and set new career highs in 68 receptions and 998 receiving yards and tied a career high with nine touchdown catches. He led the team in all three categories and set a career high in 15.9 average yards per catch.

He played in all 16 games in 2005, starting 15 at Wide Receiver. And led the team in receptions with a career-best 76 and finished with 942 yards receiving and five touchdowns.
