He attended the University of Michigan for three years, before transferring to Southern California for final season. He rushed for 1677 yards on 257 carries during his career with the USC Trojans.

During his professional career as a football player, he already played in 35 league games with one start. Has rushed for 357 yards on 80 carries and has scored one touchdown in three seasons. He caught 14 passes for 79 yards. And was also a valuable contributor on special teams, returning 16 kickoffs for 315 yards and recording 19 tackles in coverage. Justi was always a fan favorite, and Trojan fans started the colloquialism, "Fargas". This has currently been taken up by his fans in Oakland as well.
